The short answer is: our plastic outdoor trash cans are highly resistant to UV fading. We engineer them to withstand constant sun exposure without becoming brittle or losing their color quickly.

We use a process called co-extrusion during manufacturing. This means the plastic is formed with UV-inhibiting pigments and stabilizers mixed directly throughout the entire material, not just applied as a surface coating. While some cheaper bins might have a colored layer on the outside that can wear off, our protection is built-in.
Think of it like sunscreen that's mixed into the plastic itself, rather than just being rubbed on the surface. It provides protection from the inside out. This integrated technology significantly slows down the degrading effects of the sun's ultraviolet rays, which are the primary cause of fading and brittleness in plastics.
You'll notice that our bins retain their color and structural integrity season after season. They won't become that dull, washed-out pink or brittle enough to crack from a small impact after just one summer in the sun.
Of course, for the very longest lifespan, we always recommend placing your bin in a partially shaded area if possible. But even in full, direct sunlight, you can expect it to look good and perform well for years to come. It’s all about durable, worry-free performance for your home.
