The shape is also crucial; aerodynamic, rounded designs with inward-sloping profiles help wind flow around the bin rather than catching on edges and lifting the contents.
The opening is another critical point. We use wind-deflecting lids, often with a horizontal or downward-angled slot opening instead of a large, vertical mouth. Internal baffles or flaps inside the chute can further disrupt wind flow. For the collected waste, a secure, latching inner liner system keeps the bag contained and prevents it from being pulled out by gusts.
